About Laura Waynick
Representing females accused of crimes in Middle Tennessee
“I only represent females because they need someone who understands them and knows how to listen to them. Females are often treated differently in the criminal justice system, often more harshly than males with the same charges. After seeing this first-hand, I decided something needed to change and I could help.” After many years as an environmental scientist dealing with hazardous materials and nonsense government regulations, Laura saw a need to help a large part of our society that was being ignored and discounted. Females are the backbone of our society. They should be treated fairly and with respect. Laura demands that for her clients.
Laura attended and graduated from the world-renowned Trial Lawyers College (TLC) in 2026. She spent three weeks learning and practicing courtroom and advocacy techniques with the best trial lawyers in the country. “It was truly an experience that helped me learn how to listen better and tell my client’s story in a way that other people can understand.” TLC is about finding and presenting the truth that is deep inside all of us. Its about being honest and vulnerable. That’s what real trial advocacy is about. “I am proud of my work at TLC. It taught me skills that help me understand my clients and their unique challenges.”
Laura is also an Instructor in SFST (Standardized Field Sobriety Test) through NHTSA (National Highway Traffic and Safety Administration) and she is trained in forensic science laboratory testing and procedures. “Combining my years as a scientist with training in forensic sciences allows me to better understand laboratory testing and reports, crime scene evidence collections, and other scientific tests often found in serious criminal cases.”
